Carrick-a-Rede Cottage is a gorgeous self-catering holiday home located very near the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge on the beautiful North Coast of Antrim.
This luxury accommodation boasts spectacular sea views towards Rathlin Island and the Scottish island, Mull of Kintyre. The holiday home is very spacious with 2 large bedrooms to sleep 4 people and it is beautifully furnished throughout. The elegant living room features wooden flooring and an open fire. There is a beautiful dining room that will make you want to dine fashionably every evening. The main bathroom is very large and features a stylish roll top bath, perfect for superior relaxation after a long day exploring the breathtaking coastal scenery.
The holiday cottage sits in an elevated position, on the side of a hill with a steep drop in front. It is a wonderful setting where you can relax and soak up the amazing views. It does not have an enclosed garden, so small children will need to be watched.
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is one of the most famous attractions in Northern Ireland, owned and maintained by the reputable, National Trust. It is an amazing cliff top experience where you can cross a 30 metre drop via the famous rope bridge from the mainland to Carrick-a-Rede island. The bridge is only open from May to October. The rope bridge was traditionally erected by salmon fishermen and is thought to have been used for over 350 years.There are large caves underneath, which were once used by boat builders. The bridge is no longer used by fishermen today, as there are very few salmon left.
The area is designated, an area of special scientific interest as it has unique flora, fauna and geology. It has exceptional natural beauty, brilliant birdwatching and the views across to Rathlin Island and the Scottish Islands are fantastic.
The North Coast of Antrim offers unrivalled coastal scenery and the famous UNESCO world heritage site, the Giant's Causeway is only 7 miles from the cottage. This area is truly outstanding.

Carrick-a-Rede Cottage is situated very near the famous Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge and less than a mile from the village of Ballintoy, on the North Coast of County Antrim. There are amazing sea views towards Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre. The Giant's Causeway and The Glens of Antrim are also very near the holiday home. The North Coast of Antrim has one of the most scenic coastal routes in Ireland. There is no formal garden but there are trees to the front of the cottage and shrubs on the hillside at the rear.
National Trust wardens and local residents may occasionally require access along the front of the cottage to the 'quarry' just past the holiday home.
TV reception is variable due to the location. Digital channels may not be available. A DVD player is provided if you wish to bring some DVDs.
The Mobile phone signal may not be good in this area.
Parking is available for 2 cars.

Booking deposit required is one third of total period booked. The balance is payable no later than 6 weeks before the holiday begins.
