This old fisherman’s cottage sits on the waters edge and has been lovingly restored and converted into a charming two bedroom holiday accommodation sleeping five people. The cosy living room has a traditional fireplace with a pot belly stove where you can snuggle up and relax after a busy day. A fully equipped kitchen with beautiful views across the harbour to Cushendun village and beyond will make meal times a delight. Relax on the private patio at the waters edge and enjoy the tranquility as fishing boats glide by, maybe even see a visiting seal or spend a while fishing. As the day comes to a close, sit back and watch a glorious sunset.

The cottage is located in the picturesque village of Cushendun at the mouth of the river Dun (The Brown River). Nestled at the foot of Glendun, one of the loveliest of the renowned Glens of Antrim and one of the most historic which has been an inspiration for painters and writers from Ireland and abroad over many years. A beautiful beach is just steps away and the village offers shop/post office, tearoom, bars/restaurant. Take a short drive north to Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge where you can walk high above the sea to a small island with breathtaking views of the rugged Antrim coast and seaward to Scotland. Visit the Giant’s Causeway with its’ stunning rock formations and folk lore or just along the road, the bustling seaside resort of Portrush with shopping, fine dining, an amusement park for the kids and a beautiful strand. For the ardent golfer there are many first class courses in the area with world renowned Royal Portrush topping the list. Just 24 miles through the beautiful Glens lies the town of Ballymena with parks, shopping mall and excellent dining. No matter which direction  you drive in from Cushendun, you are assured of breathtaking scenery through hills and glens or along rugged coastline.
