Portballintrae, ideally located 4 miles east of Portrush and 2 miles west of the Giant's Causeway, is a quaint seaside village which looks out over a horse-shoe shaped bay. There's a great sandy beach on the edge of the village, great for self catering accommodation holidays. The Spanish Armada ship Girona was wrecked here and a team of Belgian divers recovered the gold she carried which is now on show in the Ulster Museum in Belfast. A great place from which to discover the surrounding coast line.
