Waringstown is a convenient to market towns, Lurgan, Banbridge and Moira. It is also convenient to Armagh the Cathedral City of Ireland, cities Newry and Lisburn and is only 25 miles from the capital Belfast.

It is an ideal touring base and within the surrounding areas there are good days out to be had at the Oxford Island Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, Armagh Planetarium, National Trust Properties, Thomas Ferguson Irish Linen and of course the famous Mountains of Mourne.

Activities in the area include, golfing, horse-riding, fishing, cycling, walking, watersports and cricket at the lawns in Waringstown.

A vintage car rally takes place each year the last Friday in June in Waringstown.
