Dan Ruas Cottage is located in the heart of Ireland's lakeland region, 1km from Mountnugent in County Cavan.
This beautiful Irish stone cottage has been recently renovated and furnished to a high standard throughout. There are 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed to sleep 7 people comfortably. Each of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. There is a wonderful feature fireplace with an authentic open fire. The cottage is surrounded by stone walls and a large garden where you can dine in the summer.
The holiday home is located near the Europes' Premier trout lake, Lough Sheelin. The lough has the capacity to carry a bigger stock of brown trout than any other Lough in Ireland. It is well known for its large stock of large wild pink trout. A fishing permit is required and we can help you if you need one.
County Cavan is renowned for coarse and pike fishing. There are many fine game angling rivers and lakes and developed angling centres with excellent facilities. Cavan is also popular for horse-riding, cycling, golfing and of course the famous Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark.
Dan Ruas is a wonderful base where you can enjoy the splendour of the rolling countryside and waterways of County Cavan.
