Located on a slope just above the stunning white sandy Inchydoney beach you will find peace and tranquility,you can try your skill at surfing or just a swim in the clear blue Atlantic. Why not pamper yourself in the famous Inchydoney Lodge and Spa Hotel and Health resort. A five minute drive and you are in Clonakilty with its model railway village, ancient Lios-Na-gCon Ringfort, the Henry Ford centre, birthplace of Henry Ford's ancestors or Galley Head Lighthouse with amazing views all along the coast from Fastnet to the Old Head of Kinsale. Tempt yourself to a delicious meal in one of the many fine restaurants and bars in the area.
Within 20 kilometres lies scenic Courtmacsherry with it is busy lifeboat station and Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland. Visit the historic monument of St Multose Church originally a monastery in the 6th century and where Charles 2nd was proclaimed King of England by Prince Rupert who's fleet was anchored in Kinsale. In 1612 the three largest ships in the world were built here. Take a walk back in time and visit the Spanish Quarter or the castle commanding panoramic views of the town and the extensive marina.
