Shannonvale Holiday Cottages - Clonakilty, Cork

Shannonvale Holiday Cottages, in the heart of West Cork are comprised of four tastefully restored stone cottages set in a spacious courtyard setting. Set on a valley overlooking the Argideen River (famous for it’s trout fishing, swimming spots and beautiful river walk) the area is very scenic and is within very short walking distance of the local country pub and restaurant.

The cottages are arranged in two pairs with one pair sleeping four each and the other sleeping five each. The two cottages that sleep four each enjoy access to a beautiful private garden with sprawling riverscape views. The larger two, each of which has an open-hearth fire, open onto a patio/BBQ area and also have garden access.

The cottages are 3km from Clonakilty, a vibrant West Cork town that boasts an array of fine restaurants and traditional pubs as well as a bustling nightlife, especially during the summer months. Around the local area there are plenty of activities for people of all ages including surfing and other water sports, golf and pitch and putt, horse riding, fishing and hiking.

West Cork is famous for it beautiful beaches which draw people from all over the country throughout the year for recreation and leisure pursuits. Inchadoney is a beautiful blue-flag beach and is approximately 7 km away and also home to one of Ireland's only salt-water treatment spas. Clonakilty is perfectly situated within a 30km of other famous West Cork areas such as Kinsale, Courtmacsherry and Skibbereen and serves as a perfect base from which to explore the area and discover all that West Cork has to offer.

Our cottages can accommodate up to 18 people and the cottages have proved very popular with families and groups of friends who want to holiday together but also wish to maintain a separate sense of space with living arrangements. There is ample private and gated parking for guests. Each cottage has the use of a dedicated laundry room and BBQ equipment. Pets are welcome and a babysitting service is available.
