Ashgrove is a wonderful holiday home located in Durrus on the spectacular Sheep's Head Peninsula in West Cork.

The holiday home has 3 bedrooms to sleep 5 people with a double bedroom, twin bedroom and single bedroom. It is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and spacious. The living room has french doors leading to the kitchen and dining room. Patio doors lead to an enclosed rear garden. This is an exclusive holiday village which was newly built a few years ago. There is ample parking and communal gardens and picnic areas.

The Sheep's Head Peninsula is very beautiful and is a well sought after holiday location with visitors attracted to its isolated coves, miles and miles of scenic walks and cycle routes. There are 3 villages, Durrus, Ahakista and Kilcrohane which are the preferred choice of some music and television celebrities.

The village of Durrus has a grocery store, 4 pubs, two of which serve excellent pub food and some award winning restaurants. A drive along the coast offers some breathtaking views across to Mizen Head and Bantry Bay. One of the special highlights is a visit to the stunning Sheep's Head lighthouse on the headland. It is only accessible by walking and is a worthwhile 30 minute trek across the hills and farmland.

Bantry Bay is only 10 minutes away, home to the magnificent Bantry House, one of the finest historic houses in Ireland. Don't miss the weekly country market.

Mizen Peninsula is home to beautiful golden sandy beaches including the famous Barleycove Beach. Mizen Head is the most southerly point in Ireland and a visit to the lighthouse offers an insight into the history of Irish mariners and Marconi transatlantic transmissions. Schull, Ballydehob and Skibbereen with their festivals, pubs, shops and restaurants offer plenty of interesting activities and the golf courses of Bantry and Glengariff are amongst the most scenic in Cork. The beautiful Killarney Lakes offer a wonderful day exploring or take a boat trip to Skellig Michael.
