Country Cottage is a romantic traditional Irish cottage set amid gorgeous countryside ringing the delightful sounds of nature.

Wake to the birds singing their symphonies in this rural farmland retreat. The cottage has been lovingly restored with oak floors and traditional black slate tiles to retain authentic charm whilst providing all the convenience of a modern home. The double bedroom leads out to a kitchen fitted with maple shaker units and a wood burning stove. The vaulted ceilings have a velux window to catch the afternoon sunshine and give a light airy feel to the home. Bask in the evening sunshine on the secluded patio area or stroll along the country lanes.

Although the cottage enjoys a private rural location, it is not isolated, with the village of Midleton nearby and many activities available locally. For the ardent golfer there are 10 golf courses within a 15 mile radius as well as salmon and trout fishing on the Blackwater and Funcheon Rivers and woodland walks at the Curragh Woods. Your holiday would not be complete until you experience the traditional Irish music sessions at Wallis bar in Midleton and Smarts bar in Ballincurrig.

Cork City with all its' amenities and of course shopping is within easy reach. Take a city bus tour and discover why the city is the Irish Venice. The seaside Victorian village of Cobh has a pretty promenade and an excellent visitors centre dedicated to the story and victims of the famous ships, the Lustania and the Titanic. Youghal and Kinsale are also only a short drive away and offer great marine activities and excellent seafood cuisine.
