Many explorers of north Cork use Michelstown as a base from which to tour the Glen of Aherlow and Ballyhoura. The Ballyhoura Way is a 90 km route also within easy reach.

Cork City is only 50km south of this fertile agricultural region sheltered in a beautiful valley at the foot of the Galtee Mountain range. Don't forget to taste the famous cheese. There are a number of good self catering holiday homes available locally.
