Arranmore Island is three miles from the Donegal mainland coast and is serviced by two ferries from Burtonport. The boat trip to the island provides spectacular views passing a number of small islands, including Rutland and Inishcoo, before crossing Aran Roads, a stretch of open Atlantic water.

Arranmore is a great holiday location for walking and cycling. The waters also boast an excellent variety of marine life, making snorkeling and scuba diving good options. The lakes have trout and boats for sea angling are available for hire.
