These two busy market towns are twin towns separated by a bridge over the river. The River Finn is one of the best salmon rivers in Europe. The season runs from March 1st until September 15th. The fishing rights are owned by the local anglers club.

Walkers can enjoy trails in the Drumboe woods and around Trusk Lough. Golfers can enjoy the Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club, Donegal’s only inland course set against a backdrop of valleys and mountains.
