Ballyliffin is located in the beautiful Innishowen Penninsula. It is a popular seaside town with two splendid 18 hole golf courses set along the breathtaking Pollon Strand. The town has three hotels which provide entertainment during the Summer months. Crockaugrim provides a rewarding climb for the energetic and on the western slopes there are examples of Rock Art that dates back to the Bronze Age. Nearby Doagh Island has the largest concentration of Rock Art in Ireland.

The Doagh Famine Village is worth a visit which tells the story of life in the area since famine times. At Christmas the village is transformed into Santa’s Lapland attracting families from near and far to experience the magical spectacle.

A drive around the Penninsula is highly recommended as it provides fabulous views of the mountains and the sea.
