Fox Lodge - Ards - Dunfanaghy, Donegal

Fox Lodge is a wonderful modern Donegal holiday home located in the exclusive area of Ards, near Dunfanaghy.

The 3 bedroomed home has a private driveway with large gardens overlooking the gorgeous Ards estuary. It is very spacious and very comfortable for 8 people. There is a double bed, twin beds and a family room with a single bed and bunk beds. The views over Ards Estuary and the Donegal mountains are very beautiful making this a tranquil haven of relaxation.

Ards is a unique location as it sits on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty. Ards Forest Park is breathtaking with excellent multi-trails, coastal walking routes, cycle paths and stunning golden sandy beaches. There is also a childrens play area and coffee shop. Ards Friary is nearby and is a highly respected spiritual beauty spot with amazing views across the sandbar to the 7 km beach at Rosapenna in Downings. There is also a pier which is popular for fishing and a good surf break which is only recommended for advanced surfers.

Ards is located between the villages of Creeslough and Dunfanaghy. Dunfanaghy is a beautiful seaside village with excellent beaches, surf shops, pubs, restaurants, galleries and craft shops. It is also home to the remarkable Horn Head peninsula, a special area of conservation, as the cliffs are an important breeding area for sea birds. Dunfanaghy Golf Course is an excellent course which golfers will love and Killahoey beach is a regular spot for horse-riding.

Glenveagh National Park and Glenveagh Castle is certainly one of the best visitor attractions in Donegal and only 30 minutes drive from the holiday home. Dunlewey Visitor Centre is also highly recommended for children.
