Brooke Cottage is an outstanding luxury holiday home located in Dunfanaghy, a very popular seaside village surrounded by stunning beaches, coastal and mountain scenery.
The 6 bedroomed self-catering holiday home sleeps 10 people and is furnished beautifully to a very high standard. It is ideal for large families and friends as it provides plenty of bedrooms and lots of space. There are 2 separate living rooms, a large kitchen and dining area and all the comforts of home.
To the side of the house is a beautiful landscaped garden with a large lawn surrounded with mature trees and flowers. There is a delightful summer house in the garden which looks across to the babbling brook at the bottom of the garden. It is perfect for garden dining in the lovely summer evenings or for relaxing, reading a book, painting or writing.
The scenic views from the cottage are very tranquil. Watch the lambs, sheep and hares play in the green fields or enjoy the Roshine Mountain views in the afternoon sunshine.
Dunfanaghy is a fantastic holiday village by the sea with amazing golden sandy beaches dotted around. Killahoey Beach is 1 minute walk from Dunfanaghy, Marble Hill Beach is only a 10 minute drive and Tramore Beach is worth the 30 minute walk across the dunes. The village has everything to offer including Dunfanaghy Golf Course, craft shops, art galleries, surf shops, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. There are kids activities at The Workhouse and Jaws Surf Shop has a kids club every morning. Don't miss the Dunfanaghy Jazz and Blues Festival in September.
Glenveagh National Park and Glenveagh Castle are a brilliant day out for all the family. During the summer they have Birds of Prey displays and Irish dancing at the castle. Dunlewey Lakeside Centre has storytelling boat trips and an animal farm. Ards Forest Park has a childrens play park beside the beach and it is a great place for children to cycle. The stables in the village offer horse-riding for all ages and abilities every day in the summer.

The holiday home is located 5 minutes from Dunfanaghy village. The holiday home overlooks beautiful green fields with spring lambs playing and stunning views of Roshine Mountain. The beach at Killahoey and Dunfanaghy Golf Course are only 5 minutes drive. There are other beaches at Marble Hill, Tramore, Ards and Falcarragh. SCENIC DRIVES: Take the scenic route round Horn Head, the views are unbelievably breathtaking.
Drive by car to Downings to the Atlantic Drive where you can experience breath taking superb views – then via the lovely village of Glen, and, Lough salt drive.
GOLFING: Keen golfers can enjoy golf at Dunfanaghy Golf Club 18 hole links – open all year round with sandy ground, with spectacular views – a challenging course one of the best golf clubs in Ireland - or the championship Course at
Rosapenna Golf Club, and newly built Pavillion, were John Wayne, Errol Flynn played.
Falcarragh – Cloughaneely 9 hole Golf course.
WATER SPORTS: Wind surfing, sea kayaking, body-board - lessons and hire.
Kite surfing, suitable for all ages and abilities – for groups or individuals. A speciality is their yoga sol and surf package which combines yoga and surfing a very popular sport in this area. Jaws Water Sports – ‘Après-surf’, Sailing, Sea angling at Portnablagh. Scuba Diving in the clear waters at Sheephaven Bay.
FISHING: There are an abundance of beautiful lakes where you can go fishing - Purt Lough, Sessiagh Lake brown trout fishing at New Lake - a haven for wild life, geese and swans. (permits available). Take a boat trip to Tory Island or Arranmore Island.
EQUESTRIAN CENTRE: Offers exciting horse riding pony treks across miles of sandy beaches and sand dunes from Arnolds Riding School, for all age groups.
CLIMBING: Muckish/Errigal Mountain – It is one of the highest mountains in Donegal.
WALKING: Hill walking guides and maps available at Arnolds Hotel, or take leisurely walks round the quiet country roads or beaches.
BIRD WATCHING: The only place in Ireland where the corncrake can still be heard in its natural habitat.
