Seaside Holiday Cottage is a lovely traditional Irish cottage over 100 years old with spectacular panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean near Dungloe in West Donegal.
The 3 bedroomed stone cottage has been lovingly kept in the same family for over a century and has been modernised to provide modern comforts whilst retaining its original features. The views are truly amazing and there is patio furniture where you can relax and savour the beauty of the landscape.
The cottage enjoys a peaceful rural location in Falmore, 10 km from the village of Dungloe, which is renowned for its international Mary from Dungloe Festival every August. There are a number of banks, shops and supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants and two hotels. Picturesque Dungloe Bay is a popular seaside attraction in the summer.
The area is a great base for touring west Donegal with pretty little fishing villages dotted along the coast. The seaside village of Maghery with its beautiful beach is less than 2 km from the cottage. Crohy Head nearby with its stunning cliffs and caves offer breathtaking views of Boylagh Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Glenveagh National Park is to the North and there is an abundance of lakes and rivers for excellent fishing. The islands of Arranmore and Tory are not far from land and boat trips are available from Bunbeg and Burtonport. There are many surf breaks dotted along this coastline and the area is becoming more and more popular with watersports enthusiasts. This area is also a haven for avid hill walkers and Mountain Climbers.
