Falcarragh is located on the edge of the Irish speaking Gaeltacht and is the main shopping town in this area. There is an excellent beach which is superb for walking but currents make swimming unsafe, although popular with surfers.

From the beach there are great views of the windswept islands of Tory and Inishbofin. Climb the magnificent Muckish Mountain and enjoy the sweeping views of the entire coastline from Bloody Foreland to Malin Head.
