Lake View Lodge is a unique and delightful period residence nestled in rolling countryside where peace and tranquillity are assured.

Built by Lord Leslie in the early 1800’s as a game keeper’s lodge, it has been lovingly restored and renovated into a modern centrally heated holiday home. Care has been taken to preserve original features of the era including the fireplaces in each room, flag-stone floors and beam ceilings. The two comfortably furnished and appointed bedrooms with en suites will ensure a peaceful night’s rest with only the song of the birds to herald the new day. Snuggle in front of the open fire in the living area and dream of days long past as the atmosphere of your surroundings captivate your mind. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area will care for all your culinary needs. Relax in the garden or maybe bask in the sun for a while in your own secluded haven.

The lodge is located on an extensive rural property just off the Pettigo to Donegal road in an area of gentle hills, lakes and forests, ideal for walking, fishing and cycling. A short drive brings you to Pettigo, a small picturesque village on the border of Co Donegal and Fermanagh. Local shopping is available and the well known Pettigo Inn is a great place to relax over a pint and meet the locals. Visit Station House opened in 1860 when the Great Northern Railway came to town. Nearby on an island in Lough Derg is St. Patrick's Purgatory, a Christian pilgrimage site. Just 14 miles away is bustling Donegal Town founded by the Vikings centuries ago, where you can visit Donegal Abbey and Donegal Castle, built in the 15th century by Nuala O'Brien and her husband, Red Hugh O'Donnell, the last prince of Tyrconnel. Treat yourself to a bargain at the world renowned Magee Tweed Factory or dine in some of the fashionable restaurants. Enniskillen, full of history and culture is just 20 miles east and offers excellent shopping, restaurants and traditional pubs. Have a scenic boat ride through the Lough Erne with its’ many picturesque islands, bays and inlets. Golfers have not been forgotten with a choice of excellent courses in the area including the excellent links course at Murvagh.
