Ramelton is a lovely village, steeped in history with good pubs and restaurants to welcome any visitor. It is a quiet spot to enjoy beautiful walks or spend the day fishing.
The river Lennon is famous for it's wildlife from seals to all kinds of birds, which use the river regularly. The Salmon Leap Waterfall is renowned for salmon angling and is one of the main attractions in Ramelton. It is only a two-minute drive outside Ramelton Town.
Don't miss the country market every Friday in the town hall where you can buy all local home made produce. There are lovely historic buildings and the hit movie 'The Hanging Gale' was filmed entirely on location on the Quayside.
