Rathmullan is a wonderful seaside resort village offering many activities with plenty to do for all ages. If you like horse riding then this is the place for it. There's a whole series of excellent family run equestrian centres offering superb horses and ponies. The local centre is Golden Sands Riding Stables, Rathmullan.

Donegal provides the best collection of places to explore for walkers in Ireland. You'll always see something different in this wild and beautiful county.

Sea angling is a very popular activity in Lough Swilly. An abundance of wrecks and the depth of the channel ensure plenty of specimen catches such as Ray, Pollack and Plaice.

Some of Ireland’s great golf courses are in Donegal and several are within easy reach of Rathmullan. Portsalon Golf Club is a beautiful twenty minute drive, and the magnificent Rosapenna championship golf courses only about half-an-hour drive.

Surfing is very popular in Donegal with excellent waves attracting international attention. It is a great day put for all the family.
