Cloughy is situated on the east coast of the Ards Peninsula and is possibly best known for nearby Kirkiston Castle built in 1622. Also a mile away is the Kirkiston car racing circuit. The North and South rocks off Cloughy are famously treacherous and have taken down many vessels over the years.
