Stable Cottage has been lovingly converted to a very high standard from a stable and cart house into a unique, charming and fully equipped cottage.

The cottage is part of the prestigious Slievemoyle Cottage Group which won the 'Best New Tourism Business 2008' in the Down District 'Tourism Heroes Awards'. Built in the 18th Century much of the original character has been retained. There are 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 5 people with ample parking and a lovely outdoor patio.  It is ideal for small children, tucked away from main roads and with four kilometres of marked walks through the farm.

A short drive away is Downpatrick which is home to Down County Museum, Down Cathedral, St Patrick's Visitor Centre and the final resting place of Saint Patrick, along with Saints Brigid and Colmcille. Downpatrick Race Course is home of the Ulster Grand National, and plays host to a series of meetings throughout the year. There is an indoor swimming pool, shopping and a wide choice of fine restaurants and pubs to meet the most discerning tastes.

Situated in the heart of County Down your choice of activities within a 30 mile radius is almost limitless. Enjoy local walks or spend a day in the Mourne Mountains climbing, hiking, or pony trekking. Relax on Newcastle promenade and beach or take the ferry across Strangford Lough to the Ards Peninsula. Not to mention the many castles, stately homes, parks and beaches within easy reach of the cottage.
