The Cottage is a 4* Star rated luxury self-catering holiday cottage overlooking Barr Hall Bay and the magnificent Mourne Mountains in County Down.

The Cottage has been beautifully converted from 18th century stables and was used more recently as a granary. Many of the original features have been lovingly retained including the stonework and red brick arches. The Cottage has 2 bedrooms to sleep 4 people. It is very spacious with an open plan, contemporary design and finished to a very high standard. The lounge features a traditional black cast-iron enclosed gas fire and is furnished beautifully.

There is a large garden adjacent to the courtyard with breathtaking sea views over the Narrows in Strangford Lough, and the Mourne Mountains. The local area is a revered beauty spot, and home to a colony of seals. Strangford Lough is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with special scientific interest. The surrounding coastline is managed by The National Trust who also own the famous Mountstewart House which is only 10 minutes away. A visit to the magnificent 18th century mansion is a must. Spend the day and enjoy wandering around the captivating gardens. Ballyquinton National Nature Reserve, is on your doorstep and boasts spectacular views across the Strangford Narrows to the Isle of Man, and the famous Mourne Mountains.

There is so much to see and do in the area, including golfing, angling, sailing, horse-riding, walking, hiking, cycling and mountain-biking. Visit the magnificent Castle Ward Estate, the Exploris Aquarium in Portaferry or The Saint Patrick Centre in Downpatrick. The seaside towns of Strangford and Bangor are worth a visit and the cosmopolitan city of Belfast is within easy driving distance.
