On the north shore of Carlingford Lough, Warrenpoint is a port town which caters to freighters and container ships. The town is well known for it's Maiden of the bay Festival and the Blues on the Bay Festival. Nearby Narrow Water castle dates originally from the mid-sixteenth century. Freshwater fishing is available at the small inland lakes of Mill Dam and the Waterworks.
