Badger Cottage is one of seven National Trust Cottages situated on the idyllic nature reserve, Crom Demesne in County Fermanagh.
Badger Cottage is a terraced cottage in part of the professionally restored Old Farmyard courtyard in the heart of Crom Estate. Badger Cottage has 2 bedrooms to sleep 3 people with a double bedroom and a single bedroom. It has a very warm sunlit living room with a dining area, open log fire and is very popular with all visitors.
The heritage cottages are located next to the lake and feature a shared picnic area. Occasionally, weddings are celebrated at Crom Estate and there may be some entertainment provided for guests at the visitors centre until late evening. More restaurants can be found in the nearby towns of Lisnaksea and Newtownbutler.
Crom Demesne is the one of the most important nature reserves in Ireland and covers 2,000 acres of waterways, parkland and ancient woodland with possibly the oldest trees in Europe. There are excellent nature trails, boating and fishing opportunities to provide hours of enjoyment. There are many activities on offer in and around Upper and Lower Lough Erne. The Lough Erne Golf Resort and Castle Hume Golf course are both easily accessible. Lough Erne is a haven for water activities, including cruising, canoeing, fishing and water-skiing.
Fermanagh is a beautiful region in Northern Ireland with fantastic scenery, historic buildings and visitor attractions. Visit Enniskillen Castle, Belleek Pottery, UNESCO Marble Arch Caves Geopark, Florence Court and Castle Coole.
