The cottage is one, of only 7 holiday cottages made available by The National Trust on Crom Demesne. It offers beautiful self-catering accommodation in an area surrounded by ancient woodland, tranquil waterways and wonderful nature trails.
Woodford Cottage has 2 bedrooms to sleep 4 people including, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The living room and dining area feature a cosy log fire. The kitchen has views into the courtyard where you can watch swallows nesting in the barn on the opposite side of the yard. The cottages have a shared picnic area and are beside a small wood which is teaming with wildlife. Lough Erne is on your doorstep and is very popular for boating, fishing and scenic walks.
The National Trust own Crom Estate which covers 2,000 acres of stunning parkland, woodland, waterways and islands. The estate is also home to a privately owned fairytale castle. As it is a gorgeous location, there are often weddings held in the grounds and there may be entertainment provided for guests some evenings. The visitors centre, children's play area and tea-rooms are near the cottages and you can find restaurants and shopping in nearby Lisnaksea, Newtownbutler and a little further in Enniskillen.
County Fermanagh is a playground for cruising, fishing, water-skiing and offers many more things to see and do. Great days out can be spent exploring Florence Court, Castle Coole, Enniskillen Castle, Belleek Pottery and the UNESCO Marble Arch Caves Geopark.
