Men's Way Apartment is a beautiful period apartment located in the South wing of the 18th century mansion, Florence Court.
The Estate was once the seat of The Earls of Enniskillen, now owned by the prestigous National Trust who have professionally restored the magnificent mansion to most of its former glory. A large fire devastated the upper floors in the 1950's and extensive restoration work has been continuing since.
Men's Way apartment, newly renovated and opened in 2010, is situated in the laundry yard of the South wing of the mansion. This was the original living quarters for the male servants at Florence Court. It is a unique beautiful apartment located on the first floor overlooking the 18th-century laundry courtyard and the woodland garden. It is the only part of this magnificent Palladian mansion open to the public as holiday rental accommodation. Staying in atmospheric Florence Court allows you to fully appreciate this spectacular 18th century Irish Estate. It is home to parkland, woodland, a walled Pleasure Garden and an adjacent Forest Park, perfect for extensive walks.
The 2 bedroomed apartment in Florence Court is beautifully furnished with quality fabric an linens. The garden is not enclosed and the driveway is not gated.
The apartment has been adapted for accompanied wheelchair users but it is important to note that access to the garden may not be easy, however, the patio is accessible by a pathway running around the cottage and also from the patio doors in the lounge via a ramp.
