Glenamaddy has an interesting mixture of history, nature, music and drama.

Lough Lurgeen has some good walking trails and wildlife. It has numerous migrating birds which bird watchers will love. Glenamaddy has an annual Drama Festival and a Drama Group that perform regularly.
