Maam is a beautiful part of County Galway. The Western Trail, ideal for long distance walkers can be found at the southern end of the Maam valley. Visitors who rememberthe movie “The Quiet Man” with John Wayne might recognise some of the wonderful scenery of Maam where it was filmed in 1952.
