Ballyheigue is a popular seaside town, famous as a family resort and for Ballyheigue Castle and Golf Course. It also connects hikers with the North Kerry Way.

There is magnificent coastal scenery around Kerry Head. Every July the village hosts the Ballyheigue Summer Festival and Races. There is a good selection of self catering holiday homes available in the area.
