Cloghane is a lively fishing village with great pubs. It provides an ideal base for cyclists and hikers. Nearby Ballyquin Beach has good angling. There is a section of good self catering accommodation available. Irelands second highest mountain, Mount Brandon towers 840 metres high and is part of the mountain range formed over 300 million years ago.
