Waterville lies on a narrow strip of land between the Athlantic and Lough Currane. The Lough is world famous for its salmon and trout fishing. Waterville and the surrounding area offers plenty of breathtaking scenery and walks to explore. The most scenic of these walks is the Coomakista Pass. There are also two sections of the Kerry Way walking route or if you're feeling energetic, you can attempt the majestic mountain range.

Waterville village has many fine restaurants, pubs, shops, craft stores, post office, garage, internet cafés and coffee shops. The village has attracted many famous celebrities over the years like Charlie Chaplin, Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart and many more. The main attraction is of course the world famous championship Waterville Golf Course. The stunning Skelligs Links Course is also nearby.

There is a beach and walkway stretching along the front of the village. There are beautiful sandy beaches, a national park and a historic house at Derrynane which are all within 15 minutes reach. Don't miss a boat trip around the UNESCO heritage site, Skellig Michael.
