This picturesque village, Kill is a National Tidy Towns winner. It was once the burial place of the Kings of Leinster, as the excavations of a late bronze- early iron-aged hill-fort has shown.

Kill is famous for breeding champion race horses and over half of all Irish bred horses are sold in the area.
