Straffan is home to the famous K Golf Club and Spa Resort which has staged the international Ryder Cup.  There are two courses to play, the Palmer Ryder Course, one of the most spectacular and challenging courses in Europe and the Palmer Smurfit, the finest inland links course in Ireland. Self catering Straffan visitors will enjoy all Kildare has to offer. There is also a Steam Museum in the village which makes an interesting visit.
