Famous for it's Flora Festival in the summer when the town's streets are beautifully adorned with flowers, Stradbally is a County Laois town situated 12 km from Portlaoise.

Self catering Stradbally visitors enjoy the annual festivals including the Steam Rally held in the grounds of Cosby Estate at Stradbally Hall. The town also has a Steam Museum. Stradbally has more recently become widely known for it's annual "Electric Pic-nic Music Festival."
