Ballyhahill can be found on the road from Shanagolden to Glin only 4km from the Shannon shore. The river White, known for its fishing is also easy to reach.

The Visitors Centre at Tenekilla, provides a wealth of local information and history on the area. Kearney’s Home Bakery has a splendid tea room with excellent apple tarts and soda farls.
