The Ballyhoura region is an area of outstanding natural beauty, famous for its lush green pastures, woodlands, and hills. There is an abundance of leisure activities available to holiday makers - paragliding, clay pigeon shooting, and wake boarding, being some of the best. The famous Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails are a recommended adventure and one of the best ways to explore this phenomenal landscape.

The area is rich in history and a visit to the nearby medieval walled town of Kilmallock, is highly recommended, as is a visit to Lough Gur, one of Ireland's most important archaeological sites.
