Springwell Country Cottage - Coleraine, Londonderry

Springwell Country Cottage is located just off the main road between Coleraine and Limavady.

The clachan (an Irish word for small group of houses) is on the edge of Springwell Forest which is ideal for rambles, picnics and dog walking.

This charming cottage has been completely modernised and is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. It is a 3 bedroom unit which sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children.

At the back of the house is a garden that has been completely fenced to make the area secure for children and dogs. From the back door you step onto a deck with a table and four chairs. Just a few steps further and you will be in the garden and here there is a BBQ for 'al fresco' dining.

The cottage sits on the edge of Springwell Forest, a 1142 hectare forest and a home to rabbits, foxes, stoats, badgers as well as brown hares and hedgehogs. The mix of conifers include Sitka Norway Spruce Japanese Larch and various others. There are good walking trails ans picnik facilities.

The surrounding area is rich in activities and famous attractions. Visit the Giant's Causeway and the old Bushmills Whiskey distillery. For children there are water activities, beaches, adventure playgrounds and amusements. Golfers can perfect their game on any one of ten challenging courses while anglers will enjoy some of the best fishing in Europe. Surfing and other watersports are easily accessible.

Major events include the Raft Race Festival and North West 200 Motor Cycle Races.

There is a Tourist Information Centre in Coleraine with lots of information on local atrractions.
