Foxford can be found nestling between the Ox and Nephin Mountains. It has many pubs, restaurants and outdoor activities.

There is excellent fishing and the Visitors Centre has details of the many walking trails through the boglands, lake shores and archaeological sites in this picturesque part of Mayo. Foxford Woolen Mills are well worth a visit.
