Cummer Cottage is a beautiful Irish cottage located near the town of Ballyhaunis in Mayo and only 20 minutes from the famous pilgrimage destination of Knock.

The traditional Irish cottage has recently been renovated into self-catering accommodation, keeping all the charm of old Irish living complete with all the conveniences of modern living. There are 3 bedrooms to sleep 7 people comfortably with 2 double beds and 1 triple family room. There is a cosy day lounge featuring a solid fuel stove and cream leather sofa and a separate traditional sitting room. The cottage has a lovely garden and boasts views of rolling green fields. Enjoy the beautiful walks along country lanes while watching the wildlife.

Cummer Holiday Cottage is located in the countryside location of Tooreen, a small village 6 miles from Ballyhaunis. It is situated in County Mayo on the border with Roscommon, Galway and Sligo. It is an ideal base for exploring all the attractions of these western counties.

Knock Marian Shrine is the renowned pilgrimage destination, attracting thousands of pilgrims every year and only 20 minutes from the cottage. Mayo is a beautiful county in the west of Ireland famous for its salmon fishing, rivers, lakes, islands and cliffs.

Due to the open countryside location, sorry pets are not allowed.

The owners live only 50 metres away if you need any information or assistance.

Booking Conditions

Terms & Conditions for our Self-Catering Cottages:

1. A deposit of €100 becomes payable at time of reservation, with full payment due one month before date of arrival.

2. Reservations commence 4.00pm on the day of arrival, terminating 10.00am on the final day. If this is not suitable, please discuss your requirements with us and we may be able to alter this arrangement.

3. No person in excess of the number agreed at the time of reservation may occupy the property. Breach of this rule may terminate the contract without recompense to the client.

4. The cottage must be left in a clean and tidy condition. If there are breakages or damage is caused, you must tell us and recompense may be required prior to departure.

5. We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the comfort of others, without recompense.

6. For stays in excess of a week we will provide clean linen and towels and will take away used pieces for laundering. We will agree the timing with you.

7. No pets of any kind are allowed in the cottage.

8. Turf (Irish peat) will be supplied for the stove. If central heating is required, oil will be available for the heating system. Abuse of usage of either will be charged separately. We have never had to charge to date (2011) and therefore do not expect to recharge you. We are generous with the allowance.

9. We are sure that you will enjoy the food supplied on arrival, but the owner will not be responsible for any allergic reactions, or other conditions for consumption of any of the produce in the supplies.
