Skreen, a short drive from Navan, lies on the side of Gabhra Valley opposite the famous Hill of Tara. It is located on the site of an early christian monastery. There's a well preserved 15th century church known as Skreen Tower at the top of the Hill of Skreen, at the foot of which is a pub. It is a good spot for self catering Skreen visitors.
