Rock Court is a unique holiday home set in a stunning walled courtyard of a magnificent Georgian house, originally built in 1762 in the famous Irish village of Slane.

This beautiful 4 bedroom townhouse is furnished to a very high standard throughout. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two upstairs to sleep 8 people comfortably. The open plan layout allows for a spacious feel, perfect for dining and relaxing. The village is within easy walking distance and has all the facilities you need to thoroughly enjoy your visit, with excellent restaurants and pubs where you can sample the new Slane Castle Irish whiskey.

Rock Court Holiday Home boasts an excellent location in the center of the historic village of Slane which enjoys breathtaking views over the picturesque River Boyne. The village is home to the magnificent Slane Castle and 1,500 acre estate in the Boyne Valley, near where the famous Battle of the Boyne was fought in 1690.

The castle has built and has been lived in by the Conyngham family since 1701 and is open to the public during the summer season. It was the location of a romantic liason between the King of England, George IV and the first Marchioness Conyngham. More recently, the castle is renowned for its world famous Slane Rock concerts, and was also home to U2 in 1984 while they were recording their album, Unforgettable Fire.

Other interesting attractions nearby include the Hill of Slane where Saint Patrick lit the first paschal fire which subsequently led to Ireland's conversion to christianity; The Ledwidge Cottage museum, a short distance from the village and celebrates the life of the famous poet Francis Ledwidge, born in Slane in 1887; Newgrange, a 5000 year old passage tomb built before the ancient egyptian Great Pyramid of Giza.

The Village of Slane is very picturesque, quaint and charming, truly a treasure to visit. It overlooks the magnificent Boyne River with its breathtaking views. Some of the historical buildings within the village such as the square with 4 large Georgian houses facing each other, also there is the 16 centaury friary at the Hill of Slane where St Patrick lit the Pascal fire, not forgetting Slane Castle not just known for its history but for hosting concerts to the musical greats such as U2, Thin Lizzy, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna to name a few. Outside to village we have Neolithic sites such as Newgrange Knowth, Dowth, The Battle of The Boyne, Loughcrew Cairns and Trim Castle

The remaining balance must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to arrival date.

€200 security deposit is required on arrival which is fully refundable when the property is returned clean and tidy with no breakages or damages.
