The Cottage and its surroundings provide an ideal base for a touring holiday of Inishowen. For visitors going to or from Northern Ireland it is possible to get a car ferry between Greencastle and the Northern town of Magilligan on the Causeway Coast. The ferry crossing also provides a link to Northern Ireland's main attraction, the Giants Causeway.

Derry City is the nearest city to the cottage, only a 40 minute drive away, a city steeped in history and a visit is strongly recommended - for shopping, museums, cinema, theatre, historical buildings, restaurants, pubs, hotels and much more.
