Famous for it's "Rock of Cashel" above the town, Cashel is a must see if in the area. The town has a Heritage Centre which interprets the history of the famous rock and of the town itself.

On top of the Rock of Cashel are a series of ancient ruins of historical significance. Hore Abbey is also worth a visit as is Museum of rural Life. The town is also known for it's blue cheese.
