Roscrea, often seen as the gateway to the River Shannon region, this small County Tipperary town is one of the oldest in the country.

There are impressive ruins of a Hiberno-romanesque gable, round tower and high cross in the town. There is a Heritage Trail which helps visitors explore the town and it's rich history.
