Situated on the River Foyle, Strabane is on the border with neighbouring County Donegal. It hosts a Saint Patrick's day parade and boasts a 270 seat theatre, gallery and tourist information centre-the Alley Arts and Conference Centre. The 18th century home of the grandfather of former US president Woodrow Wilson on Main Street was saved by the national trust and is now open to visitors.
