The pretty little resort of Ardmore is famous as the arrival point for St Declan and the introduction of Christianity to Ireland. Pilgrims now wash at St Declan’s Well , a 5km long cliff walk leads from it. The 94 km St Declan’s Way traces the old pilgrimage route to the Rock of Cashel.

Today the town is better known for the clean waters of its blue flag beach and language college. There is a good selection of self catering accommodation available.
