The popular summer resort of Dunmore East is only 15 km from Waterford City. It’s main street is lined with thatched cottages and it has a very distinctive coastline of projecting headlands and red sandstone cliffs.

Councellor’s Beach would be regarded as one of Waterfords best beaches. There are spectacular views across the bay to Hook Head lighthouse and Wexford. There is excellent sea angling available for tourists.
