Lying on the east of County westmeath in beautiful countryside, Killucan is 2 km from it's sister village of Rathwire. There are three 16th/17th century crosses just opposite the village commemorating a couple who died in a coach accident and a couple killed by a runaway horse.

The Royal Canal runs through the village. There are good facilities in the area including a golf course and a fishing lake.
