The excellent  visitors centre at Enniscorthy  is well worth looking into before you climb historic Vinegar Hill. This quiet market town has  a fascinating past with its connection to the 1798 rebellion. Enniscorthy Castle has a wonderful museum. Enniscorthy has a number of annual events most notably the Strawberry Fair in June/July.
